I was super excited, because you see... I have had issues about my hair. The I-don't-feel-pretty, so I won't even try sort of issues. My hair changed a lot after I had twins; I think even with the prenatal vitamins, I just wasn't getting enough nourishment for three life-forms. It broke, it thinned, it lost it's brilliance. I hated it. I had to try to hide thin spots. I felt hideous. And as it started to get healthier, my confidence was still sick. I don't normally jump all over the chance to enter a linky party...
But to me this was more than just a linky party....
This was a chance to redeem some of that brilliance. I didn't own but two headbands, so I got busy in my crafting room...
And the result: I felt 100% better about myself. Seriously. I felt pretty every day. A little flamboyant at times, but I even enjoyed that sort of. It was a good week.
{a little boasty moment: all of these headbands were made by me. Except for the one noted.}
Day 1.
Day 2.

Day 3.
{a special note: this headband was re-purposed from a hanky that belonged to my great-grandmother. I wanted to embroider some kinder words on it that reminded me of her. She was full of sunshine, and the more I grow as a woman, the more I feel connected to my heritage in her.}
Day 4.
Day 5.
{handmade by my girl,Jana}
Day 6.

Day 7.
